Mark your calendars. UX South Africa 2026 is happening 10–12 November in Johannesburg, and it's shaping up to be something special.

This year's conference is designed as a focused, high-quality, three-day experience for the South African UX and product community. We're keeping it intimate, around 300 attendees, because we believe the best conferences are the ones where you actually meet people, have real conversations, and leave with ideas you can use on Monday.

What to Expect

The format is built around depth over breadth. Day one kicks off with hands-on workshops led by experienced practitioners. Days two and three are dedicated to conference talks; a curated mix of local and international speakers covering the themes that matter most to designers working in Africa right now.

We're putting together a programme that balances practical craft skills with bigger-picture thinking: how design fits into organisations, how we serve diverse users, and how we navigate the shifting landscape of AI, regulation, and digital inclusion.

Who's It For?

UXSA is for anyone who designs, builds, or leads digital products and services. That includes UX designers and researchers, product managers, service designers, design leads, and anyone working at the intersection of people and technology. Whether you're early in your career or leading a team, there's something here for you.

Tickets

Ticket details will be announced in the coming months. For reference, we're targeting the following price ranges:

  • Conference pass (talk days): ±R4,000

  • Workshop pass: ±R2,500

  • All-inclusive (workshops + conference): ±R5,500

We're also working on options to make the event accessible to students and emerging designers — more on that soon.

Call for Speakers

We'll be opening a call for speakers in the April–May window. If you've got a story to tell, a lesson to share, or an idea that deserves a stage, start thinking about your submission now. We're especially interested in talks grounded in real work — the messy, honest, practical kind.

Stay in the Loop

The best way to stay updated is to subscribe to the UXSA newsletter. We'll be sharing speaker announcements, venue details, ticket launches, and more as they come together.

You can also follow us on social media or reach out directly at info@uxsouthafrica.com.

See you in November. Let's make it count.
